Harvest for the Hungry, a program of the Emergency Foodshelf Network, is an amazing organization that partners with local CSA farms to provide locally-grown fruits and vegetables for hungry families throughout the state of Minnesota.

Harvest for the Hungry not only supports families who are often unable to afford the luxury of fresh, nutritious, locally-grown produce, but it also supports the hard-working farmers providing such wonderful food. They work with CSA farms throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin, including Dinner on the Farm hosts Big River Farms, Riverbend Farm and this week’s host, Common Harvest Farm. The produce travels directly from a partner farm to a local network of food shelves and meal programs, where families struggling to put nutritious food on the table can reap the benefits of a healthy meal.
This Sunday, July 22, at Common Harvest Farm, Dinner on the Farm will be donating a portion of your ticket price to Harvest for the Hungry so it can continue to support local farmers and hungry families. If you’d like to help support Harvest for the Hungry, visit www.emergencyfoodshelfnetwork.org.
